In the latest installment of Meet the Team Friday, we will be getting to know Becca Quigley, a graphic designer here at interlinkONE and Grow Socially.
Age, as some may say, is only a number. Productivity is not always relative to experience. While there is no substitute for practice, exceptions can be made, particularly for those of us who are naturally talented.
At interlinkONE and Grow Socially, Becca Quigley, our graphic design intern, is one of those naturally talented people. While her tenure in the office has been short, the quality and quantity of her work has been nothing short of impressive. But graphic design hasn’t always been Becca’s calling.
“I was set on journalism for a while, up to my freshman year of college,” said Quigley, who is preparing to enter her junior year at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. “I entered school as a double major in journalism and graphic design. My hobbies were painting and drawning, and realized I liked it a lot more (than writing). I eventually dropped journalism.”
Like many of the employees in our offices, Becca is a jack of all trades. At RWU, she serves as an RA, orientation advisor, dance club member, public relations chair for student government, graphic design club member and more. She also has played sports, including volleyball, basketball and track.
As much as she loves her school, she speaks just as highly of the interlinkONE and Grow Socially office.
“I love it here,” says Becca. “This opportunity came out of left field, I’m really lucky to have it. Everyone has been really welcoming, I like what I do and I am learning so much. It’s an absolutely perfect thing for me to be doing.”
Becca, a big music fan, particularly of Incubus, has even had album artwork featured on a small but scrappy up-and-coming player in the music industry, iTunes.
Adding to her musical prowess, Becca can also play guitar and drums.
Becca, who is also minoring in marketing and visual arts, will be heading back to Roger Williams in a couple of weeks. She will be sorely missed around the office, but will continue to work for the company. “I’m going to miss everyone a lot,” she said, “but I can’t wait to come back.”
