In the latest installment of Meet the Team Friday, we will be getting to know Pam Morrissey, the sales operations manager here at interlinkONE and Grow Socially.
Everyone has seen those Staples commercials that feature the “easy button,” a solution to all office needs with one simple click.
Alas, a functional easy button continues to elude the offices of America – still nothing to instantly facilitate our daily woes. But thankfully, we have Pam Morrissey. And when our sales team needs help, she is always there.
Pam began back with interlinkONE in January of 2007 as an assistant to John Foley, CEO and professional globetrotter. After working directly with John for a few years, Pam was interested in adding more to her responsibilities.
” I proposed the sales operations manager position to John,” said Pam. “Now I have the opportunity to facilitate the sales process with both companies. I’ve been doing this for over a year and a half now, and I have responsibility for the sales process for interlinkONE and Grow Socially.”
Like anyone in sales these days, Pam got her bachelor’s degree in biology. And just as an aside, Pam received that degree from Westfield State (which is also this writer’s alma mater. And yes, we were ranked higher than Harvard in an independent study. I digress.)
After originally planning to be a medical assistant, Pam found herself at Xerox for nearly 25 years before she got her start here at 21 Concord Street.
“I love my job, love working here,” says Pam, an avid Kindle Reader. “It’s so different sitting outside the office of the CEO and sharing ideas and making things happen as opposed to being at a huge corporation.”
Pam has been happily married to her husband, Jay, for 18 years. She is also the proud
mother of two children, Patrick, 24, and Erin, 16.
Pam’s family, described by herself as “parrotheads,” are avid Jimmy Buffett fans. She has seen the world’s favorite beach bum over 20 times in concert.
When she isn’t changing latitudes and grilling up cheeseburgers in paradise, Pam truly enjoys her work with interlinkONE and Grow Socially.
“I feel like I am making a difference here,” said Pam, when asked what the most rewarding part of her job is. “You can see that when we close a deal. I know I had something to do with that.”
Pam’s Fast Facts
Favorite Movie: The Parent Trap
Favorite TV Show: Grey’s Anatomy
Favorite iPhone App: Words With Friends
Favorite Food: Mexican
If you could pick the next interlinkONE/Grow Socially company outing destination, it would be…
“Get a box at Fenway Park. First class, food, the whole thing.”
