Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, is integrating a new social bar as a part of the search experience.

Now you can see what the experts are Tweeting about, what your friends are talking about, and more.

“A new Bing sidebar, rolling out to all users now, suggests Facebook friends who might know about a given topic, and shows activity from high-profile people on other social networks such as Twitter,” says an article on pcworld.com.

One of the really cool features of this is the “People Who Know” section. Scroll over one of the suggestions on the right side of the screen and their latest Tweets will be revealed.

On the Bing blog, they explained a bit of the rationale behind the new feature.

“Most things in life are better with people you trust; in fact, more than 90 percent of people reported they are likely to seek the advice of friends and family as part of their decision-making process around events, purchases, travel, and said they will even delay a decision to first get input from family and friends. We designed the new social features in Bing to make it easy to exchange ideas, share opinions and take action, giving searchers the same confidence they get from bouncing an idea off a friend. With Bing, it’s easier than ever to get that input and go from searching to doing.”
